This £3.8m facility at Trailfinders Sports Club in West Ealing, London includes an impressive 3,184-square metres of sporting space.
This project saw Collinson blend a variety of construction methods, using their expertise in tensile, modular and traditional building techniques to create a tailor-made facility that is exacting of Trailfinders Sports Club’s requirements.
This included a series of modular units which were created on Collinson’s production line at its Lancashire-based modular manufacturing facility, before being transported and assembled on site in Ealing.
Home to Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club, the facility features a full-size junior rugby and football pitch, allowing players to train in even the most adverse weather conditions, while three indoor cricket lanes and viewing balcony provide Ealing Trailfinders Cricket Club with the opportunity to train all year round.
In addition, the state-of-the-art complex also features ancillary buildings that accommodate new changing facilities and office space.
Open to the local community, the expanded facility provides an income-stream for Trailfinders Sports Club and is able to meet increasing demand from the public for use of its sporting spaces.
The building was handed over and was followed by an official opening event attended by Sir Andrew Strauss, Sir Mike Gooley, club members, the local community, and the project team.
